I am a mixed media sculptor specializing in cast glass, hand-built ceramics, fabricated steel, cast bronze, and sound elements. My work explores my experiences with loss, grief, healing, and transformation, something personal yet universal. The intention of the tangible objects and aural environments is to create space for viewers to voice their deepest thoughts without social constructs, shame, or fear so connection and healing can emerge. Influenced by ceremonial traditions such as Japanese tea ceremony and the morning offerings at a Balinese shrine, I create as a way to process and express my internal world, releasing thoughts and feelings in objects and sounds.
